TAKOI NOODLE FAQs REDUX
Answers to many of the questions we've been receiving about Rabbit Hole, carryout and more.
How does dine in at Rabbit Hole work?
Eating in at Rabbit Hole is meant to be a casual experience and is on a first come first serve basis. Service is not handled by servers, but rather there are QR codes that allow guests to access the menu and order online. These QR codes are distributed throughout the bar and at tables. Simply scan the code, select your items, pay, and then your items will be brought to you as they are prepared.
Do you accept reservations?
No. At the moment we are just a small crew of cooks having fun and not a proper full service restaurant. If you want to assure getting an item before we run out you can pre-order carryout at a select time and leave a note on the order that you'd like to eat "for here." Your food will be ready for dine in at that time. Perhaps come a few minutes early and identify yourself to an employee at the bar so you can receive your food fresh and hot.
Where can I pick up my carryout order?
You can pick up your order at the bar. Let a bartender know the name on the order and they'll bring your bag to you as soon as it is ready.
Where is Rabbit Hole? And why is it so hard to find?
Rabbit Hole is located between the Blind Pig and Blank Slate at 210 S. 1st St. in downtown Ann Arbor. More specifically it is located in the basement of the building below Circ. You can find it by heading through the courtyard to the left of the building. Walk past the picnic tables towards the railroad tracks. At the back of the building on the right are two double doors. This is Rabbit Hole. Enter here.
Does the menu change? When does the menu post / pre-order open up?
Yes, gradually dishes will come and go from the menu. No dish on this menu is forever. For instance, after the break we'll have a slew of new dishes to share, which means most dishes on the current menu will be retired. However, no matter the changes there will always be vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options and the food will generally have a degree of spice to it. We'll attempt to identify those dishes that are highly spicy.
New menu is posted on Monday and pre-order opens up at that time.
How long will TAKOI NOODLE be happening?
TBD. At least for the next month, potentially longer. As long as people continue to support it then we'll be inclined to keep it going... with occasional breaks of course
And for those of you who are not even aware of what we are talking about...TAKOI NOODLE is our latest pop-up happening every Thursday in downtown Ann Arbor. It explores Chef Brad's love for the diverse canon of Thai-style noodles, both stir-fried and broth based. Dishes feature handmade rice noodles and locally milled durum wheat noodles in both carnivorous and vegan offerings. Over the coming weeks we'll be delving into plenty of new noodle and non noodle dishes alike and we hope you'll join us for a casual bite at the bar or schedule a carryout.
Carryout time slots are offered every 30 minutes from 5pm until 9pm. Orders need to be placed in advance and then picked up at Rabbit Hole.
